An exciting opportunity has arisen within our HR team for a Reward Manager. This role can be either based in London or Weymouth as you will be required to spend time across both of our offices in these locations.

We are looking fo an excellent team leader to ensure the Reward team are managed and developed to meet the agreed objectives. You'll be playing a key role in the development of the design, development and implementation of a reward framework that delivers a total reward strategy as part of the overarching People Strategy globally.

This is an influential role ensuring we have a reward offering that works for all of our different business areas including; Retail, Head Office and our Distribution Centre.

KEY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Propose and update the strategic framework for reward that responds to business needs
  • Identification of reward approaches, using research techniques, which ensures that competitiveness is maintained and retention is a focus
  • Manage the reward team and responsibilities within defined budgets
  • Keep up to date with current Reward legislation and ensure this is reflected in all Reward policies and practices making sure relevant changes are communication and implemented effectively
  • Highly effective external network to understand the trends/ direction relating to reward
  • Ability to build strong and effective internal working relationships to ensure business area needs are understood and met
  • Deliver role sizing and salary benchmarking services through using wide varieties of data and MI
  • Appropriate process changes to support new policy and delivery effectiveness
  • Supply expert advice to customers, People Partners, People Director and Other business area Directors
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with agreed standards and service levels
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the policy specialists to ensure legislation specifically relating to reward is adhered to
  • Demonstrate an approach of continuous improvement, seeking feedback and regularly evaluating outcomes to identify better ways of working and improving the customer experience
  • Meet agreed performance objectives and review ways of working within the wider people team
  • Identify and progress areas for personal development
  • Set performance objectives for the team and proactively manage performance
  • Understand the data requirements for the business and work with the Senior People / Finance Specialist to provide what is required
  • Ensure management information is captured, including but not limited to key themes and issues, service levels / outcomes and customer feedback, and that information is analysed and acted upon or recommendations for improvements put forward if outside of authority to act.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent would be desirable but not essential
  • You will be degree educated
  • Up to date understanding of UK Reward requirements and compliance
  • Experience of planning and delivering Reward initiatives
  • Experience in key areas such as; Global Mobility, Pensions, LTIP, Benchmarking, Total Reward offerings, benefits offerings (such as Car schemes, healthcare schemes) and Bonus schemes
  • Knowledge of current remuneration legislation and practice
  • The development of share schemes, bonus schemes and other incentive schemes
  • Leading and developing the reward team 
  • Experience of using current benchmarking tools
  • You'll be excellent at building relationships and managing stakeholders
